The Adamello Presanella Mountains
From the valley to the glaciers
The Adamello Presanella mountain range is a land of ice and water. There are seven glaciers in the Presanella range, whilst the Trentino part of the Adamello range contains another 17, including the largest in the Italian Alps, the Mandrone.
The waterfalls
A mountain walk at the foot of the majestic Alpine glaciers is a truly unforgettable experience: the trail weaves its way through pine and beech forests, lush green meadows, glacial lakes, crystal clear streams and spectacular waterfalls. The incredible Nardis and Lares waterfalls in Val Genova are fed by water which has come straight from the glaciers. Meanwhile, the wild and remote Valle di Daone has most than 150 waterfalls, giving rise to its nickname of “Trentino's Little Canada”.
